The adjustable hardness of the shock absorbers allows you to adjust the pushchair to your child's weight. This is a very important feature for 2-in-1 pushchairs, as they are designed for both newborns and older children weighing up to 22 kg. The softer suspension is ideal if you are using a carrycot, i.e. your baby weighs less than 9 kg, or a rear-facing pushchair. The harder suspension is designed for heavier children carried in a forward-facing pushchair, when the greatest load is transferred to the rear axle of the pushchair. The large tubeless wheels with polyurethane elastomer tyres will perform well in all conditions and in all seasons. Combined with the height adjustment of the handle, they also ensure that the pushchair is easy to pick up when driving onto a kerb.

The carrycot of the VELAR UP pram has an innovative quick-fold flat and fastening function. The folding mechanism is located under the carrycot and is operated with one hand. All you have to do is press one button. Fastening the carrycot is also extremely quick and easy. Simply pull the strap at the back of the carrycot. Folding the carrycot has never been so easy. This function is extremely convenient when travelling by car, when you want the carrycot to take up as little space as possible in the luggage compartment. The interior of the carry cot is made of quilted, heavyweight cotton. The double-sided 2-in-1 mattress has coconut fibre filling on one side and classic foam on the other. The front of the carrycot has a large opening ventilation panel. In addition, you can expose up to two sections of the sun canopy for optimum ventilation even on the hottest summer days. The vents are protected by mesh and also act as a window for your child.

When your child starts to sit up on his or her own, it's time to switch to a seat unit. The large comfortable seat of the VELAR UP pushchair is designed for children up to 22 kg, i.e. up to the age of four. You can fold the VELAR UP pushchair together with the seat, regardless of whether it is forward or backward-facing. The pushchair is comfortable and safe. The new 5-point harness system is fastened with a magnetic buckle that makes it virtually impossible to incorrectly fasten the straps and is extremely comfortable to use. The bumper bar is hinged and has a joint that allows it to be lowered freely along the frame of the pushchair. This function allows you to quickly and comfortably seat your child in the pushchair. The interior of the seat is made of soft knitted fabric lined with special foam, making it comfortable for your child and looking very modern. The sun canopy with an additional detachable section allows you to shield your child from the low-lying sun. In the rear part of the canopy there is a detachable ventilation panel, which also functions as a viewing window for the child when the seat is forward-facing.

The RIKO VELAR UP pushchair is available in 6 fashionable colours. The sun canopies are made of fashionable eco leather and the rest of the upholstery is made of 3D fabric (honeycomb). The interior of the stroller seat is made of soft and child-friendly knitted fabric in practical black colour. The outer fabrics are impregnated to ensure water run-off and have a UV50+ filter to protect the child from harmful rays and to preserve the colour of the fabric.

Included with the pram is a large practical bag attached to the handle of the pram, a winter cover with a quick access system for the child, a rain cover, a mosquito net, a basket attached to the frame of the pram with a flap closed with magnets and a child safety barrier.

The RIKO COSMO car seat is dedicated to RIKO strollers and is manufactured under a Dual Branding system by the renowned car seat brand Avionaut. The seat is compliant with the new European R129 regulation (valid from September 2023) and is also available in an I-SIZE version with the Avionaut ISOFIX DOCK 2.0 base.

Thanks to the possibility of purchasing universal Adaptors, car seats of other brands can also be mounted on the frame of the VELAR UP pram if they have Maxi Cosi type clips (ask your dealer for details).
